Chapter Retreat at the Lake of the Ozarks

On February 10-11 around 30 members of the Delta Chi UCM chapter met near the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks for a retreat.  This retreat was ran by a group of our great Alumni.  This weekend taught us all new tips on how to better our chapter.  This new information was taught to us through lecture or team building activities.  We learned a lot of important information and we also had a great time.  Our fraternity is always seeking to improve and this weekend taught our members how to make Delta Chi a lifelong experience.

The 3rd Annual Delta Chi Date Night Auction

On February 7th, University of Central Missouri's Delta Chi chapter held their unique fundraiser known as the Date Night Auction.  This event has shown itself to be very successful at gathering people to donate funds for a good cause.  In this event, students affiliated with campus Greek life are auctioned off on stage and people in attendance can bid on them.  This is also a very entertaining spectacle and draws a large crowd of people to attend.   The proceeds for the event were given to The Jimmy V Foundation, an organization devoted to cancer research,  At the end of the night, Delta Chi had raised $1800.00 from auction bids alone!  An extra $900.00 was raised from the event's ticket sales.  This is a unique event ran by this chapter and it  raised $2700 dollars in one night for a great cause!

Delta Chi Bucks for Bucks

Greetings Gentlemen,

With hunting season JUST around the corner, UCM Delta Chi is putting on an event called "Bucks for Bucks". For a mere price of $20 you can buy into this beautiful competition of masculinity. The competition will be open for rifle season, November 12th-22nd, in which participants will be racing against the clock to shoot: the first buck and the best buck. All entries will be made by contacting Josh Brehe at jmb02550@ucmo.edu or via the UCM Delta Chi Facebook Page. Winners in those categories will receive $50 for the first buck and $100 for the best buck. A panel of judges will be assigned to make the decision for the best buck. All proceeds will be sent to the Warrensburg Food Center to aid during the holidays. So gentlmen get out there, eat jerky, grow a beard, and shoot a buck to help the Warrensburg Food Center.

Happy Hunting,

Jody Jennings

Central Missouri Homecoming 2016

UPDATE 10/14/16:
The tailgate will start around 10:00/10:30 a.m.

UPDATE 9/24/16:
Our tailgate will be at 218 McGoodwin Street. Below, I've posted a map to the tailgate location, some images to give an idea of how much space we have, and a map of the lots available to park in that are closest to it.

Central Missouri Homecoming 2016 is a little more than a month away! The theme this year is The Power of Red.

On Saturday, October 22 at 9:00 a.m. the parade will start at the intersection of Clark and Holden streets. At 1:30 p.m. the Mules face Washburn Ichabods. More details about homecoming can be found on the UCM website.

The active chapter and ABT will be hosting a joint tailgate before the game. A few of the chapter's active members have generously offered their house and backyard to use as tailgate space. It is just west of the stadium. If you would like to know where the tailgate will be located, please email the ABT "E" using the form below. Mike Edwards has volunteered to prepare food for the tailgate. We're looking for people who can help with serving the food. If you're available to help, please contact Mike using the form below. We will also have soft drinks available. Otherwise, if you want any other drinks, the event is BYOB. There is no charge for the meal.

After the game, we will be meeting up at Fitter's on Pine Street.

For those of you who plan to get a hotel that weekend we have a block of rooms reserved at the Days Inn. If you're interested in staying in one of these rooms, use the form below to request information on those rooms.
