Alumni Float Trip 2017

Sign ups on the chapter website will begin on Wednesday, February 1 at 6p.m. CST.

The new year is upon us. That means it's time to sign up for Alumni Float Trip 2017! As usual, it will be the first weekend in June (June 2-4). For those of you who have never been to Alumni Float Trip or haven't in a while then you're in for a treat. It has grown significantly over the past few years and we regularly have close to 100 brothers attend. Chances are, you'll get to reconnect with at least one old friend.

 

The past couple of years we have been using the chapter's website to purchase/reserve cabin and camping spots ahead of time. We currently stay at Gasconade Hills Resort on the Gasconade River in Richland, MO. A map and directions to the resort may be found below.

For those that would like to, there is typically a group that goes golfing the Friday before we float. We currently have six tee times reserved between 11:00 a.m. and noon at Great Life Golf and Fitness in Lebanon, MO. Click below if you would like to go to the golf course's website.

Food is provided for Friday night, all of Saturday, and Sunday morning. The schedule for the weekend is the following:

 

  • Friday, June 2:
    • Golf (11:00 a.m.)
    • Talk to people you haven't seen in 10+ years.
    • Dinner (7:00 p.m.)
  • Saturday, June 3:
    • Breakfast (8:00 a.m.)
    • Picture under banner (10:00 a.m.)
    • Float
      • Board Bus near office (10:30 a.m.)
      • Float (11:00 a.m.)
      • Lunch (while we are on the river)
    • ABT Meeting (5:30 p.m.) -- EARLIER THAN LAST YEAR
    • Dinner (7:00 p.m.)
    • Auction (8:30 p.m.)
  • Sunday, June 4:
    • Continental Breakfast (8:00 a.m.)

NOTE: If you would like to come down on Thursday, June 1, you will need to make separate arrangements with the resort. They may be contacted using the phone number at the bottom of their website using the link mentioned above.

Sign ups are changing a little bit this year. Since we always have some who choose not to float, we are breaking up the sign ups to a more "a la carte" style so-to-speak. Floating must be purchased separately from staying in the cabin or camping. If you want to stay in a cabin/camp and also float then be sure to purchase both products. We've also added golf for those who would like to pay for that ahead of time.

 

The prices are as follows:

  • Cabin: $180
  • Camping
    • Alumni: $80
    • Active: $30
  • Floating (Raft): $20
  • Canoe: $20
  • Golfing: $45
  • Meals (if not staying at the resort): $10
  • Alumni Float Trip T-Shirt: $15

 

As another change, we ask if you purchase multiple cabin spots that you mention during the checkout process the names of the people who will be in those other spots. You also need to make sure that you or the others you're purchasing for have purchased the correct quantity of floating, canoe, and/or golf spots if they would like to participate.
